SEEDI (http://www.ncd.matf.bg.ac.yu/seedi/ ) is an international effort to develop awareness about digitization of cultural and scientific heritage in the South-Eastern European countries and to bring together:

 

 

 

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

 

The aim of the Conference is to present and exchange experiences with new information technologies, standards and the other fields in the area of digitization of cultural and scientific heritage, including, but not limited to:

 

The conference will have a satellite workshop on the Text Encoding Initiative.

 

 

ACTIVITIES

 

The Conference will have plenary sessions, invited lectures and round tables.

 

This year a satellite workshop on the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI, http://www.tei-c.org/) will be organized during the conference. The lectures will be given by some of the leading experts in the field. The workshop is intended to collect young scholars from the region interested in this aspect of digitization. The organizers will try to cover travel and local expenses for (some of) the participants. More information about the workshop and application procedure to obtain a grant will be announced in the second call.

 

 

CALL FOR PAPERS AND REGISTRATION

 

Contributions related to all aspects of digitization of cultural and scientific heritage are encouraged. Papers that report on applications of information technologies in the field of digitization are particularly welcome.

 

 

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

 

Presented papers, selected after a review by the international editorial board, will be published in the Review of the National Center for Digitization, Serbia (http://www.ncd.matf.bg.ac.yu/?page=publications&lang=en).

 

CONFERENCE VENUE

 

The Conference will take place in Belgrade, Serbia.
